Muslims to march over terror laws.
Thousands of Muslims are marched through London and Blackburn in protest at anti-terror legislation.

How about human rights in that big prison called Saudi Arabia and that extended prison called the Muslim world. Can you march
against human rights abuses in Muslim society in support of those who want to leave Islam and convert to any other religion?
Or those who want the triple Talaq repealed? Or those who want to amend the Shariah to prohibit male polygamy and female
circumcision? Or at least march in support of those who want ladies to lead prayers in mosques?
Can you Dr Adnan Siddiqui? We are waiting to hear you answer our poser.

The demonstrations have been organized by a number of organizations including Stop Political Terror and Islamic Human
Rights Commission. Protesters are to voice their concern on a number of issues including prison detention at Guantanamo Bay
and stop and search procedures. Both marches will take place on Saturday afternoon.
The first Muslim Unity march will start at Marble Arch at 1030 BST on Saturday and proceed to Paddington Green police
station in west London.
Protesters up in Blackburn meanwhile will set off from Bangor Street at 1430 BST before moving into the city centre for a
major demonstration against the area’s MP, Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.
Dr Adnan Siddiqui, an organiser of the London march, said: “This demonstration sends a clear message against the climate
of fear that has been created by these draconian anti-terrorism laws and disproportionate arrests targeted at a community
which has made a significant contribution to this society.
“Our community cannot afford to be silent in the face of the ‘war on terror’ and its domestic and international
manifestations - we must stand together with strength and confidence to dispel the myths about Islam and the Muslim
community.”
