World in Danger A somewhat unlikely combination of 25
Nobel prize winners, the Dalai Lama, movie star Richard Gere and
various former politicians gathered in the ancient desert city of
Petra on Thursday at the "World in Danger" conference. They are
discussing major issues now facing humanity, from terrorism to
poverty, the environment, and education and use of the media.
 The fountainhead of inspiration
for the Isalmo-fascists comes from fiends like the now dead Arafat and the soon to die Zarqawi and Osama Bin Laden. This has
created a very potent destabilizing factor for greater peace and stability throughout the world at large in the form of
theology-inspired terrorism. And the allies of the Islamofascists are the socialists and communists who are trying to build a
second front by capturing the World Economic Forum. The communists did this earlier by capturing the World Social Forum
(WSF). So it is futile to pin hopes for taking the bull of theology-inspired terrorism by its horns through the World
Economic Forum or the World Social Forum, which are fast becoming front outfits of the Jihadis Photo

Recommendations from the conference will be presented to political
and business leaders gathering at the forthcoming "World Economic
Forum in Jordan 2005" conference taking place from 20-22 May at the
Dead Sea. Nobel Prize laureates and authors, Elie Wiesel and VS
Naipaul are among the artists and scientists meeting in Petra to
discuss ways of building a better world. "The people who meeting are
not political," said Gere. "The world is at a critical crossroads,"
said the "World in Danger" host, Jordan's King Abdullah in his
opening address to the conference, which was also attended by Israeli
vice-prime-minister Shimon Peres, former Northern Irish political
leader David Trimble and some 40 other delegates.
He called for fresh effort to find a peaceful solution to the Israeli-
Palestinian conflict, and a new emphasis on Islam as a religion of
peace(sic). The growth of extremism showed how more effort was need
to "reinforce the basic values of humanity" he said. Young people in
the Middle East have known no existence without conflict and
division. ANd for whom do you give the credit Your Highness? The
Middle East has known ceaseless violence since the birth of Islam.
Although pre-Islamic times were not exactly times of peace and
tranquility, but the coming of Islam made warfare a religious and
holy duty, made murder and beheading a holy duty. So from where do we
begin, if we have to end this cycle of violence. We need to begin
with Islam and not be reforming, it but by defnging and then
destroying it.
Getting closer to reality, Wiesel, a Jewish Holocaust survivor
awarded the Nobel peace prize in 1986, said, "At the dawn of the 21st
century, the planet is already in peril. The world is thirsty for
stability," "Terrorism, particularly suicide attacks, are preaching a
culture of death. What can we do to stop that?" he asked.
As a follow up to this Conference, the "World Economic Forum" to be
held in Jordan would have its theme as "Seizing the Moment". It will
focus efforts to capitalize on the current climate of change and
opportunity. Participants will be challenged to respond to popular
demands in the region for improvement in their daily lives through
wider political participation, improved economic opportunities and
greater peace and stability throughout the region. One very potent
destabilizing factor for greater peace and stability throughout the
region and the world at large is theology-inspired terrorism. But
with leftists and communists trying to capture the World Economic
Forum, as they did with the World Social Forum (WSF), hopes for
taking the bull of theology-inspired terrorism are remote.
