Pakistan breaks up ladies sporting event at Lahore
Asma Jehangir, the human rights activist from Pakistan today organized a tournament of cross country running in Pakistan.
This innocuous event led to her being bashed up by Islamists helped by the Pakistan Police. This event was to protest the
disruption of a similar event some days back by Islamists in Pakistan. Looks like our ally in the War on Terror, and MNNA
(Major Non-NATO Ally) does not respect the most basic human rights of ladies to participate in a sporting event!
Islamists in Pakistan were offended and humiliated by a race due to the participation of female sprinters . Cute are the
people whose muscle power driven writ runs in Pakistan – Whom we have designated our Major Non-NATO Ally and have agreed to
supply F16 fighter aircrafts.

The clashes erupted after supporters of the Islamic religious parties alliance (MMA) attacked the men and women
contesting the race with batons and stones, police said.

The protesters blocked the race course and chased competitors away as they approached the sports stadium where they were
expected to finish race.
A spokesman for the MMA told the Associated Press news agency that the alliance had warned organisers against holding the
race “because it is against Islam”.
“They want to undress the entire nation,” Riaz Durrani said.
“It is indecent for women to run in the streets. They want the sisters and sisters-in-law of the nation to wear knickers
and T-shirts.” Some of the Jihadis in Pakistan beat up the participants. Wow, how very chivalrous. What if such people get to
run Pakistan one day if the get rid of Musharraf. Then would they use the F16 against us as some of their Mujahid “brothers”
