Jihadists detonate 450 bombs in Bangladesh simultaneously - Is this a trial run for Multiple simultaneous attacks on the USA using Gasoline Tankers and Dirty Bombs?

If Jihadists here target our gas stations, and destroy many of them, it would be very destructive: it might kill a lot pof people, create a lot of fear, destroy a lot of wealth and wipe out weeks worth of our gasoline supply. So, it's a huge potential target and a real problem. Why is it a problem? Because, according to some estimates (this one from a PAKISTANI/American web-site): "The majority of Pakistani businessmen [in the USA] own grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, video stores and gift shops. IOW: owning a gas station is one of the most prevalent businesses for Pakistanis in the USA.

Now, there are, by some estimates, around 140,000 gas stations in the USA. Many of them (if my experience is any indicator) might be owned and operated by Pakistanis - or other Muslims from other countries which are terrorist havens. Even if it is only 10% - well, that would be 1400 gas stations - and most of them might be in major cities or by major highways. Now, even though most of these gas stations might be owned by Pakistanis who are law-abiding, some might be owned by Pakstanis who are NOT, or who are as law-abinding as the fish&chip store owner who was the father of one of the 7/7 perps; therefore, a relative or employee of an honest law-abiding owner might be a terrorist plotter.

In other words, I am asking if maybe we have we been way too lax regarding our domestic gasoline supply and distribution system? Terrorists might have been planning - long-term - to use gas stations in major American cities as incendiary bombs. Terrorists might be planning a coordinated strike exploding hundreds - or even thousands - of gas stations nationwide in a single day, just as they did in Karachi in 2003 and in Southern Iraq where the blew up a fuel tanker in a busy marketplace of a Shiite dominated town, and now in Bangladesh where they simultaneously caused more than 450 explosions. These strikes could all be trial runs for doing the same in the USA, using a lethal combination of fuel tankers and dirty bombs to cause hundreds of explosions acorss the USA. This is no panic mongering. It is better to be safe rather than sorry.

`War option rests with Tehran' - What lies behind Iran's Belligerent Nuclear Brinkmanship?

Iran followed by Syria are the destinations for the anti-terror initiatives

"All declared (nuclear) material in Iran is under verification, but we still are not in a position to say that there is no undeclared nuclear material or activities in Iran," IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei told reporters after an emergency meeting of the IAEA's governing board last week. "With regard to the country as a whole, the jury is still out," he added.

In an interview with Israeli TV on Friday, Bush said "all options are on the table" if Iran refused to comply with international demands to halt its nuclear programme. "I think Bush should know that our options are more numerous than the US options," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi. "If the United States makes such a big mistake, then Iran will definitely have more choices to defend itself." He offered no specifics but characterised Bush's words as part of an ongoing psychological war against Iran. Bush issued the veiled threat two days after Teheran resumed uranium conversion at its nuclear facility in Isfahan, a move which also prompted a warning from the UN nuclear watchdog agency.

The president must keep open a military option in dealing with Iran and its nuclear program, Sen John McCain said today, calling recent Bush comments appropriate. "For us to say that the Iranians can do whatever they want to do and we won't under any circumstances exercise a military option would be for them to have a license to do whatever they want to do," McCain, a Republican, said on Fox television. "So I think the president's comment that we won't take anything off the table was entirely appropriate." Read this story....

A new and deadly form of Terrorism is Emerging

We are dealing with nihilists and despots who worship a death- cult. They hate modern liberalism and democracy and their ideology is the cousin of fascism and communism. When we faced Stalin and Hitler, the last thing we needed to do was agonize over why they didn't like our societies, lifestyles and systems of government. Neither should we do anything different in confronting the Osamas and Al Zarqawis. More....
